Nairobi to Zanzibar

Day 1
KENYA - TANZANIA

Depart Nairobi, across the Athi plains driving through to camp in Arusha. Departure meeting. Joining in Arusha is also an option, we can collect from Kilimanjaro airport or central Arusha.

Days 2 - 4
TANZANIA

Afternoon and morning game drives in the Serengeti National Park, Maasai village visit, afternoon drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation area, morning game drives in Ngorongoro Crater

Optionals: balloon safari.

Days 5 - 7
TANZANIA

Arusha, Marangu by the foot of Kilimanjaro, seafood barbecue at our camp on the Indian Ocean, preparations for the stay on Zanzibar Island.

Optionals: Kilimanjaro day hike, Marangu village tour

Days 8 - 11
TANZANIA

Four night stay on Zanzibar Island, first night in a lodge in tradtional Stone Town with a spice tour on our first day. Transfer to Kendwa Beach for a three night beach stay on Kendwa Beach

Optionals: Snorkelling and scuba diving on Zanzibar's untouched coral reefs, a visit to Prison Island famous for its giant tortoise population and to Jozani Forest to see the red colobus monkeys.

All accommodation and transfers including spice tours on Zanzibar Island arranged ahead of time.

Please note safari itineraries are given as a guide only. A safari is a journey and true journeys in Africa unfold and are of an adventurous nature. The unexpected can arise, so do allow for this.
