Nairobi to Nairobi Safari Overview
An overland trip with game drives in Kenya and Tanzania's favourite game parks - The Masai Mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater offering the very best chance to see the Big Five and more! Time to cycle in Hells Gate National Park, for a hippo cruise on Lake Naivasha and to enjoy the antics of the colobus monkeys on the lawns at Elsamere, with visits to a Maasai village and on the board walk at The Giraffe Park come face to face to kiss a gentle giraffe!

Itinerary
Days 1 - 2
KENYA
Meet up and head to the Rift Valley, then to Lake Nakuru National Park for game drives and a visit to a children's orphanage.
Days 3 - 5
KENYA
Lake Naivasha, hippo cruise, a Maasai village stay at Loita Hills
Optionals: Hells Gate National Park or Crater Lake Sanctuary, Elsamere for afternoon tea.
Days 6 - 9
KENYA
Masai Mara, game drives. Nairobi. Giraffe Park, Sheldrick's Elephant Orphanage.
Optional: Balloon safari in the Masai Mara
Day 10
TANZANIA
Travel across the Athi Plains through to Arusha.
Days 11 - 13
TANZANIA
Safari into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Afternoon and morning game drives in the Serengeti National Park, afternoon drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation area, morning game drives in Ngorongoro Crater. Evening celebratory barbecue on return from the game parks.

Transfer to Nairobi

Spending Money
You will need spending money to cover drinks, lunch, souvenirs and different small incidental costs whilst on tour such as cheap excursions costing under U$20
Tipping is customary in Africa, so budget for gratuities if you wish for guides or drivers who provide good service such as on game drives or guided tours. Again it is at your discretion, but your tour leader and driver will appreciate a tip to acknowledge their hard work during your tour.
Some campsites en route also have simple huts or chalets on site. If you feel like a break from camping and youd like an upgrade at some point it is well worth having a little bit of money budgeted accordingly.
The recommended spending money for the Kenya and Tanzania trip is: US$200 - US$280
Visa
Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6-9 months after your trip finishes. Ensure as well you have adequate pages in your passport for each country you visit. Up to 2 consecutive blank pages can be required. If you have dual nationality you can only use one passport for the entire trip, whilst bringing both is wise as a back up. More information can be found in the different country listings on the FCO's website under entry requirements.Below is an estimation of current visa requirements and their costs. If your passport is not detailed below please dont hesitate to contact us for further details of your requirements.
For this tour, most passport holders will need to apply for an eTA to Kenya online prior to arrival.
For most passport holders the visa for Tanzania can be bought at the border en route. Visas on the ground can only be paid for in US Dollars cash.
