But there was still plenty to come, with another week of wildlife experiences. The drive took us into the rift valley area and was very scenic.<br \/>\nThe camp near Nakuru National Park was beautifully peaceful &amp; had the best showers in East Africa!  After being on the road for a few weeks they were a real treat. Steaming hot water with open roof\u2019s onto the Acacia tree\u2019s and African sky above &#8211; bliss!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/FOA-5-gallery1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-754\" title=\"FOA 5 gallery\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/FOA-5-gallery1-300x180.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/FOA-5-gallery1-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/FOA-5-gallery1.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>That night over dinner we talked about the geology and history of the rift valley system,  the creation of the national parks in Kenya, and in general about Kenya\u2019s interesting history.  The next morning it was up super early to head off into Nakuru National Park to make the best of the day\u2019s game viewing.   Nakuru is very interesting, with a variety of landscapes and including the \u201cbaboon cliff\u201d which overlooks the lake.   Rhino, Lion, zebra, flamingo and plenty more were on today\u2019s viewing menu.
