This was enjoyed by everyone. We played and sang with the kids and time passed far too quickly. We\u00a0all had an absolute blast with these kids rescued from unimaginable conditions by a \u201ccomplete Saint\u201d named Margaret.<\/p>\n<p>From Amazing Grace we continued on in our big yellow truck to the shopping mall to stock up on supplies for the next couple of days. A short drive later and we are camping on the shores of Lake Naivasha, the lake at the highest elevation of the Rift Valley and home to over 400 species of bird and huge pods of hippo.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1501\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/danceclass-Naivasha2-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"danceclass Naivasha2\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/danceclass-Naivasha2-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/danceclass-Naivasha2-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/danceclass-Naivasha2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>A few of us went for afternoon tea at Elsamere,\u00a0home of Elsa the lion and Joy\/George Adamson of &#8220;Born Free&#8221; fame. We watched the black and white colobus monkeys larking around close by (with their awesome hairdos!).\u00a0The rest of us chilled at the campsite catching up on blogs\/laundry\/reading etc.<\/p>\n<p>Before a beautiful spag bol cooked courte<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1500\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dance-class-Naivasha1-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"dance class Naivasha1\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dance-class-Naivasha1-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dance-class-Naivasha1-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/dance-class-Naivasha1.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>sy of our chef, we joined in with a group of local Kenyans here for the weekend and tested our African dancing skills&#8230;a great way to end a fantastic day exploring more of this beautiful country!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day Four<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1507\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hellsgate-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"hellsgate\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hellsgate-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hellsgate-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hellsgate.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>This morning it was up at 7.15am for sausage sarnies before some of us headed off to cycle through Hells Gate National Park\u00a0and others did a guided walk round Crater Lake sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>Those visiting Hells Gate cycled amongst game and\u00a0the incredible volcanic landscape before walking through the gorge that was the inspiration behind Mufasa&#8217;s death scene in the &#8220;Lion King&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst in Crater Lake we enjoyed the stunning surroundings amongst hartebeast, waterbuck and the odd scary buffalo before<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1505\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fish-naivasha-168x300.jpg\" alt=\"fish naivasha\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fish-naivasha-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fish-naivasha-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/fish-naivasha.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/> seeing the gorgeous black and white colobus monkeys playing in the trees overhead.<\/p>\n<p>A few of us stayed back and enjoyed a stroll along the shores of Lake Naivasha to get some Talapia fish for dinner tonight. The fish were still breathing when purchased they are so fresh and\u00a0it&#8217;s a very cool experience to eat food directly from where we are camping.<\/p>\n<p>The truck got robbed today\u2026\u2026\u2026..by some cheeky vervet monkeys and poor Gavin and Briana lost their biscuits and apples (but ended up with a cool story to tell!!).<\/p>\n<p>Once everyone was back at camp there was time to relax <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1504\" src=\"http:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hippocruise1-168x300.jpg\" alt=\"hippocruise\" width=\"168\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hippocruise1-168x300.jpg 168w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hippocruise1-576x1024.jpg 576w, https:\/\/www.absoluteafrica.com\/liveblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/hippocruise1.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/>and recover before we welcomed our new addition to our group, Roland. It was welcomes all round as we all got to know our new group member.<\/p>\n<p>At 5 we headed out on the hippo cruise which was fantastic.
