Absolute
Africa is proud to work with our Chief Guide, Samson Lauwo, the
grandson of the famous Yohani Kinyala Lauwo, 'Mzee Lauwo', who led Hans
Meyer, the first European to summit Kilimanjaro in 1889.
We
can trek any day of the week as we have our own team so we can head out
any day that you wish. We also though aim to set up a few group dates
during the year for those who would prefer to head out in a party.

In 2011 and 2012 we have currently four group trekking dates heading out with Samson and his team on the 7 day Machame route.

Absolute Africa donates 50 US$ to TAFCOM (Tanzanian Organization Facilitating Community Development Projects) for each trekker who heads out on our group climbs.
Established in 2005 TAFCOM is a grassroots organization, which works with the local community in Moshi, the town at the foot of the mountain, to empower them in finding solutions to the serious issues they face including HIV/AIDS and lack of clean water by providing tools - knowledge, funding and support.
We also invite you to join us in our support of this non-profit organisation if you would like.
There are many ways you can help from donating clothes, books, stationery etc for the projects, or instead you can donate time volunteering, or get a cash donation together by encouraging family and friends to sponsor your trek or throw an event! Have a look at how you might be able to get a fund-raising initiative together to further support this fantastic grassroutes organisation if you wish. A visit to TAfCOM will also be arranged whilst you are in Moshi so you can get to meet those involved.
Don't hesitate to give us a call or email us as to how you can get involved in these exciting group treks.
